Sinner Paris

A different idea of a luxury hotel.

The atmosphere is conjured from the moment of entering as guests are greeted through a heavy fog of incense smoke by handsome, black-clad staff in dungeon priest uniforms, ushering you into the dimly lit lobby-restaurant-bar area. Interior designer Tristan Auer, whose previous work includes the Hotel de Crillon, drew on influences including the Marais’s ecclesiastical history and Seventies debauchery to create a luxuriously sensual interior. Lighting is used to dramatic effect throughout the hotel’s common parts with blood red corridors lit only by the glow from stained glass windows – it’s impossible to be louche with the big light on after all.

Opulent rooms.

Rooms are bright and cosy. There are a few surprises hidden in the wardrobe, which could swing de Sade or Jilly Cooper depending on your disposition. Otherwise it’s like staying in your most stylish – richest – friend’s guest room among carefully curated artworks, books and records. Wood panelling, gloriously comfortable beds and unique modern furniture and accessories are the perfect backdrop for a stay in the city that invented chic.

Enticing atmosphere.

As its name suggests, Parisian hotel Sinner became а total treat for those who are gagging for а level of glamour and excitement that wholesome staycations just cannot provide.

Opened in March 2020, the hotel was gaining а quiet reputation as one of Paris's hippest new hang outs in the heart of the Marais - with a sexy twist.
