Built on stilts, Hôtel Palafitte, a 5 star hotel, is in a unique location: quite literally on Lake Neuchâtel, the largest lake in Switzerland. A tiny pretty city with its Belle epoque charme and a lot of swiss history. Like the lake which inspired it, Hôtel Palafitte follows the rhythm of nature, season after season. Open and bright in summer, the hotel exudes an increasingly warm atmosphere once the temperatures drop. This natural balance seems to embrace guests as soon as they arrive.
On the edge of the world.
Designed as independent units, 24 lake pavilions are the only 5-star rooms on stilts in Europe. Like bubbles floating on Lake Neuchâtel, they radiate a romantic and magical atmosphere, allowing guests to reconnect with nature, with themselves and with loved ones sharing this inspiring stay. Beyond the large terrace, the neighbouring Alps form a unique horizon. Direct access to the lake through a small ladder from their private terrace, in the summer the temperature of the water is around 23°. The remaining 14 pavilions are on the shore.
