The historical “Guard room”.

The “Guard room” is a medieval heritage belonging to the Grimaldi castle with its shape.

In 1935, the French painter Emile Wéry has been commissioned to paint it. He decorated the archway with a fresco depicting elephants, thus giving it an exotic and fanciful touch.
