Art Dubai
Known as the “world's most globally diverse art fair,” Art Dubai has one of Asia's leading art fairs since 2007. Featuring more than 2000 pieces from around the globe, World Art Dubai unites galleries and artists from around the world, each with their own unique take on art.
From emerging Emirati artists, pop-art icons and fashion art disrupters, to experimental expressionists and fine art and photography practitioners, our exhibition is an eclectic melting pot of artistic style. This year’s edition receives 6 Emirati galleries and 3 Saudi galleries, some of which are participating for the first time, in addition to the Statues Garden, which hosts large installations by eight artists, including Emirati artists Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim and Hussein Sharif.
In addition to the exhibitions coming from famous and emerging art centers from around the world, visitors can attend exhibitions from countries in the Middle East, South and East Asia such as Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Palestine, Turkey, India, Vietnam, and the Philippines, in addition to a prominent presence from different parts of the continent. African exhibitions include exhibitions from Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, and Tunisia.
Art Dubai's exhibition space is split into four sections: Modern, Contemporary, Residents (a series of “solo presentations from invited galleries whose artists will take part in a 4-8 week residency in the UAE”), and Bawwaba (a collection of 10 exhibits created specifically for the fair).
